In order to use the mod, you first need to download it. Then place the mod in the right folder where you can find the other mods. The default folder is %appdata%/.minecraft. According to the developer, it is compatible with Minecraft versions 1.7, 1.8 and 1.9.
Once you have placed the Custom Mob Spawner Mod 1.8 in the right folder, Minecraft will automatically recognize the mod, just like any other mods. Start the game and you will be able to use the other mods that spawn mobs again. If you are having problems with other mob mods, the mod might be the solution you are looking for.
